ROOF T&G, ROUT FOR WIRES
Roof T&G, Rout for Wires
B. Install your roof tongue & groove.
C. How to rout your timbers for wires. If
you have suspended lights, fans, or any other wiring needs on your
second or third floors, you and your electrician need to think about
these before you start to panel your home. Also before you put down
your second floor decking. An excellent way to run wires to tough
locations is by routing the outside and/or the top of timbers. Figure
5 shows an example of this. After your T&G and roof panels are
installed, you can wire from inside into the 1/4" gap between
panels, then down to your wall panel. Be sure to wire before you
foam with expanding foam sealer.
