Stress Skin Panels for Timber Frame and Structural Insulated Panel Homes.
PANEL INSTALLATION GUIDE TOC > BEFORE YOU START > ROOF PANELS > VALLEY

How to Install your Roof Panels

If your frame has valley systems, you’ll need to cut a compound angle into your panels where they rest in the valley. This is similar to cutting the ridge angle, but in reverse. Again, leave a 1/4" space in the valley to allow for expanding foam sealer (see Figure 21). Test cut and fit some small panel scraps to check your saw angles and bevels before working with full-sized panels. Do not nail panels into the valley timber itself - it’s easily damaged!
